Blog of the day

Hi all...
My blog is the 'blog of the day' in the indibloggers blog index.Check that out..
We gave the farewell to our seniors yesterday at Jenny club and it went so well. And the parting memories they shared and all the inside stories were so funny and had a nice time..I'll try to post the memorable stories in some time..
I was thinking of my placements and am a little confused about the all too common advice to be very selective about the company i choose..I am confused as to on what basis i choose and stuff..if anyone has some views regarding this please do write to me.

What i hate about the internals...

Hi all
And third internals are just around the corner...it is on 28th, the monday...and now starts all this frenzy of taking photocopioes(or popularly xeroxes)...
This is the thing i hate about the internals. No one will be bothered about the availability of material to learn from until the tests peep in...this is the normal student mentality....and at the eleventh hour everyone will be rushing for this course material and that handout and stuff...and the photocopying machines work over-time n their owners grow fat during this time.
We finished all our xerox works for this internals today and guess what i dint do a work this time..it was kd , kd and only kd who took all the pains to go over to the shop , get it all xeroxed, neatly sealed in covers for each person, and also she paid...(finally, finally v extracted some work from our rep of this sem, i.e. kd:-))...
Well gotta give some finishing touches for our project...

Come September

Hi all...
All that is to do with da labs got over....
We are planning the farewell for our seniors this Friday...We had a meeting yesterday at my nhome regarding this..this week has got to be a frenzy i guess...
Any cool games, anyone can suggest? If anyone from our bazilisx has any idea express it in the meeting tomorrow, after the photo session in the IM amphitheatre at 4:15...
This is injustice, I am not being given the elective I want, for the reason that the controller of examinations cannot set too many question papers, cuz this time the number of electives offered are 13…so they had to cut all the self-electives…So I am ending up with wireless communications, rather than my choice of ‘microprocessor based system design’, Prof.SJ is going to handle wireless, it looks like, that is a good news though. He is one gem of a teacher.
Last week or the week before that I had my assessment GD during the profcomm hour.It went cool...The topic was the much talked .."is India really shining.."
After that prof wanted some volunteers to do a model stress Gd(no prep time, 5 min GD , Abstract topic)..
Me, Rama, and a coupla guys went in..And the topic was "sine square theta+cos square theta = bournvita"...It was so cool,,,we came to a conclusion that everything in this world finally melts down to this great philosophy that is"sine square theta+cos square theta = bournvita"
OK thats it for now...gotta sleep.
BY the way..Does anyone know any piece of music or song or some musical rendering named "Come September"..It seems my dad liked that song or whatever when he was young, but now unfortunately unable to remember anything about it other than it is called "Come September"(By the way, My bday falls in Sep, be ready with your gifts ppl:-)).if anyone cud tell me about it...I would be able to get it for him on his Bday perhaps(JUne)
Bye everyone...

Nandy, seriously, you should blog.....

I have always been amazed by nandy's creative writing....this is one sample...I enjoyed it a lot, hope u too do.:

LOVE-LOSS OF VALUE IN ENERGY

Being ECE engg students, these hi-tec romantic lines are quite likely 2 ring in our minds…………
I had a mind set that luv is my bete-noire….
But when U fell into my vicinity from our college vantage point……..
 I totally fell in 4 U………… I developed a predilection 4 U………..
I was obsessed with Ur thoughts the whole day…….And prayed "Adieu" hoping that I shall see U the next day, talk with U, share my thoughts, and make U understand
how much I long 4 U ………
 The next day,
* When my Physics prof explained the stereoscopic effect of crystals I envisaged Ur face in 3-D effect……….
*During my ED class,I was pertinacious 2 visualise Ur isometric view
And when my ED prof questioned "Can U appreciate the point in orthographic projection?"I loudly replied "YES SIR" lately realising the loud laughter of my classmates…….
 2 me more clear & frank…………….I would say………………
B4 I met U, I was like an AC signal,But ur very first sight had the effect of a diode ,Converting me to a DC signal U vanquished my heart, changing my "half-wave rectifier" emotions,To a "full-wave rectifier" romance mood.
U bewitched my thoughts…..
Replacing my "open circuit" attitude by a "short circuit" attitude.
Oh my dear luv….
U vivified my heart(which I have now lost 2 U)…..
When I try revealing my deep luv 2 U ,I feel I am totally nullified by Ur high resistance…
Oh dear……………..
When will U reveal Ur luv???????????????????????
I am now like a galvanometer and just can’t withstand the high resistance offered by U...................
Plz do try 2 understand my feelings….
Everything that happened was fortuitous …..
Take me out of Ur magic spell…….

This the end of the poem.
By the way,R U in an imaginary world............................
keep scrolling down 4 looking deep into the realms of life
.....................................................................................
.....................................................................................
.....................................................................................
.....................................................................................
.....................................................................................
.....................................................................................
Have u fallen in luv with someone???
(OR) R U in luv with someone???
Then,it signifies that u r mentally immature……According 2 many, college is the provenance of luv,(many youth call college the cradle of "luv at first sight")
Infact, the so called " luv " is superficial & a redherring in a person's life.........It is quite likely that everyone of our age has a probability of 1.0 (or) a 100% efficiency of falling in luv…….
Luv according 2 many is of 2 types
*luv at first sight
*luv which is engendered by exchange of feelings, thoughts, likes & dislikes……….
But all these …….. occuring at this stage of life is not praise-worthy and is the result of hormonal changes…and ofcourse..the impact of cinemas…Going 4 a film is just 4 a week-end recreation and its objective is taken seriously by many youth…….
Do we ever little realise the sacrifice our parents have made & the pain they had undergone 4 placing us in such a good college. An achievement is not a 1 time hardwork .It’s years of hardwork..starting from the time our mom/dad sat beside us holding our hands teaching how 2 write A B C……….,& boosting our spirit when we scored low marks.........
Infact ,even when a child is in the womb, parents start planning 4r his/her name, and imagine their child’s visage features……what their child would be(a skilfull engineer or a worldfamous doctor)………
*** If an engineer, how he/she would pull the trolley inside the airport, and wave his/her hand,b4 the departure abroad (or)
how he/she would inform the placement result with a gift 4 his/her sweet mom…….
***If a doctor, how he/she would look wearing the gorgeous white coat……while returning from his/her first successful operation……….
Should we abandon our parent’s aspirations & exacerbate our goals in life just by falling in luv with a person whom we know for just 3 or 4 years to the maximum..(The worst "Luv at first sight"-What nonsense…..???).
The best vote of thanks we can render our parents is by refraining ourselves from falling into the impact of cinemas, leading an ethical life, and working 4 the upliftment of our career, thus garlanding and cherishing our parent's dreams.

The revenge

Hi all
As the follow up of "KD slapped me" story, i present to the world
"the revenge of Divya" story....
Well, it goes like this...yesterday i was asking KD "do u know how it feels to be slapped..?", after she hit Bhavna hard (agn twas supposed be just a pat). She said she dint know...and said she was a sport...and that i may slap her....I confirmed and reconfirmed atleast 10 times...telling i would slap her real hard...She was brave as always(thats KD).
i called some witnesses(Dj and Mk).....ofcourse again i confirmed and gave her a real tight slap...
Believe me people, my palms and fingers ached for some time....
And guess what my fingers had made a mark on Kd's cheeks...
She took it bravely though...I slapped far more hardly than how she actually goes about slapping people....she had to cover her cheeks for a while...
i actually felt sorry.i hate myself when i hurt people, that too this is the first time i 've hurt someone physically(to my knowledge)...I was just massaging her freshly beaten cheeks...and we all had a hearty laughter afterwards...i took a pic of her cheeks in my mobile cam...Anyone who needs it can just message me;-)
Well another gr8 news is that the GATE results are out...
Mk has gotten 96 percentile....cool ....congrats...kudos Mk..
pk got 91.7%....n very happy.....mk,96 and still wanting....
Oh, what am i doing now....I got my lab finals day after morrow...n gotta a load of work to do...
So cya all after the lab exams. saturday comes my next post, i guess.
Bye

Elementary, my dear foul-mouths

Hi all...
Today I was thinking about the kinda language I hear daily in coll. I wouldn't call that pleasant, well what I am meaning is the ease with which all the obscene words are being used nowadays. And the intriguing part is that studs feel that they are cool if they use these words, and thus all f-word, s-word n stuff become their natural vocabulary. I know many people who can’t blurt out a single sentence without using all these words of glory.
This same sort of vocabulary is pretty common in certain under privileged class of people. Certainly nobody thinks that is cool. In fact, anyone(including our good friends who use the aforementioned 'glory' words) would just push it off as a typical 'low class' stuff. This is pure hypocrisy. Is it because they use the same words but in the regional language ? Rather than English?
I feel we, the educated(or so we say) people using this sort of language is much more shameful than the other plane i just mentioned.
Whatever it is...the point is the whole stuff stinks. And people, just understand, there is nothing to be proud of with a stale mouth. This is not the proper way to let out one's emotions...(assuming one lets out dirty emotions by the way of dirty language, if that is gonna be an excuse)Why are we being called social animals...if we are to use these vulgarities in using one of our six senses?
I can very well imagine what would be the reaction of anyone whose actions have just been condemned in this post, reads this....He/she would just comment...'ok ur highness is jobless...f+-*/ off, dude'

Deja vu

Hi all....
Of late i've noticed a lot of people are visiting my blog...cool....
I read the book 'Five point someone'(FPS) by Chetan Bhagath, yesterday.Oh boy,i laughed like crazy after a long time.
It was like this ....I was in the bedroom alone and reading the book,,,and my folks were in the living room watching TV,and everything was quite....suddenly there comes this convulsive, all too loud, unstoppable laughter of mine from the bedroom,,,that too very regularly,,,i guess they would have thought i was insane or something....But i guess this is the first time a book has made me to laugh this crazy(of course after that jokes book i read some years back)
I could somehow strike an analogy between this book and 'Bachelor of arts' by R.K.Narayan(may be just the class room and the academic background part of it)
Also i found the character Ryan in FPS resembling Natraj of 'Man eater of Malgudi' by RKN.
I would suggest everyone read FPS.I liked it ,,maybe because all the characters you come across in the book,,,you can somehow relate them to people you are seeing everyday(even yourself), and the language used,a typical techie lingo n stuff...
I have not come online very regularly recently ,,,,because of the following reasons:
1.The stupid VSNL-TATA indicom dialup connectivity...
2.My lab finals are fast approaching.(not to mention the sem).
3.My projects are getting pretty demanding(or so i say).
4.I have vowed myself to sleep early(like a goody goody girl)
5.Placements and all the lore hitting me that i have better work to
do rather than hopping the net.
6.or just maybe my life is getting busier...:-)

and today's juiciest story
Well today i got a tight slap from KD,,,,not that she did wantedly(hopefully), but she wanted to pat on my cheeks,,,of course just a soft pat...but as you can expect from Kd, she patted me pretty hard that would pass for a really tight slap,,,after all kd is a friend and such fun...one of my favourite pass time is to tease kd(nowadays rama is getting her share of ottals from us...neway she needs it) and her all too' american' (perhaps ITALIAN too?) accent and all quirks...All stories bout kd will hit my blog after sometime...
Well thats it for now...
bye
