%#*&*$&$^#^%##@$@#(Cant think of a better title)

Hi all
Is there someone who reads my blog, who is from Carrollton, Tx, USA? If so, please comment back.
Been to Bengaluru. I hate Bangalore buses. Hell on wheels. Who built those buses..? Bad design and even worse running of the show. It seems as a cost cutting operation,in some buses, the dirver also acts as the conductor, issuing tickets. So in escence what happens when the bus is crowdy? It takes a loooong time for him to be done with issuing tickets. And the bus gets delayed.
Bangalore traffic is yet another thing. Feels bad to see my birthplace in such state:-(
People should see buses in Coimbatore. They seem like heavens now. Even buses in Chennai are bad when compared to Cbe buses. No, am not telling this because I belong to Cbe. Anyone who have travelled in Cbe buses would nod their heads.
Another thing, the Bangalore city's environment is a way too dusty too. As I travelled across the city to reach office, I looked at my mobile, it looked like I've kept it open in a sand storm.
I see myself shouting "Who moved my cheese?" in some 4 months time.
Bye all.

unmai unman athanaiyum unmai.. CBE busese are much more damn good than Chennai and Blore buses..

I had been in these three cities for some time.

Blore was very good some time back but due the Heavy S/W growth the population burst made it worst..

But for sure if software explosion happened in coimbatore it may also be like that..

the only thing i hate abt bangalore is d traffic.. else that place is pretty fine for me for a lot of other reasons too..;-)

Well driver issuing bus tickets is the norm in UK as well. Initially when I cam here they looked so neat, but after staying for 6 months you find the finer points.

Busess spilled with potato chips, chewing gum on seats, rubbish thrown every where.

Busses here are told to be punctual to the minute. But if they come, they come on time if they dont they will be late by 30 minutes and some times without your knowledge they will not turn up at all.

If the driver thinks that the bus is crowded too much he wont take passengers at all.

Well I dont think when you board a coimbatore bus you wont feel the sand. It is common everywhere.
May be busses at coimbatore are of good design, because most of them are in private hands and to keep business good they make it so.

But coimbatore busses have the nuisance of suryan fm, which might be good at times, but is always annoying.

Dont know much about bangalore busses, but comparing a capital city with only the 3rd biggest city in TN doesnot seem reasonable.

Wht ever u said is true..

and by the way there is a reason Y cbe buses are too good..

most of them privately operated.. unlike bangalore or chennai or any other metros.. they maintain the buses well owing to sheer competition..

and VijayKrish.. i ve been to all the places u ve mentioned or rather lived in all the places.. if u ask me i wud rate as

1. Hyd
2. Cbe
3. Chn
4. Blr

neighbour>>what u say is right...as in, before even the boom comes, it should be properly planned to make the city be capable of handling it...

raasa>>ya..i've decided never to use blore buses anymore...

arun>>hmm..looks like u got an interesting reason..is it?;)

suresh>>private ownership is a reason..but the point is even government buses are of good design..by the way, if a city is big, it needsd to have better transport facilities, thts all..so it isnt something injustice to be comparing cbe and chn..
And YES suryan FM is an annoying thing here...

sathya>>
have not been to delhi..neither mangalore...
shall read the link...

vijay krish>>have not been to hyd...perhaps they are good, i dunno..
but dude,...ur ranking abt the other 3 places are absolute judgemental errors...believe me.
there has been no place for prejudice.. i hop b/n the 2 cities quite often, and i belong to both the places(by birth and by nativity)

gp>>thx...long time...

arun>>ya...i go with ur ranking..given hyd busses are better...
private ownership is the motivational factor...

Hi ,

First time here. I have grown up in cbe.I absolutely agree with you about cbe buses.they are the best. Chennai buses are pathetic. In rainy season it will rain both inside and outside. Even though buses in mumbai are good the style of windows is bad.you wont get good air, also for emergency you cant even jump out.

I think the reason for cbe buses being best is that to some extent privatisation is there. So there is a healthy competition for survival between TNSTC and private buses.Even MTP road buses are better than city buses, most of them equipped with tv's nowadays.

Frankly when i grew up there i used to complain the CTC (then) buses were not on time. that was the only complaint, but after living in chennai and mumbai (and a week stay in b'lore), i feel cbe is far better.

people can say its a biased opinion, but truth is truth.
